🚀 Role Summary
Join Red Hat as a Production Support / DevOps Engineer, where you’ll support enterprise customers using OpenShift across hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem). Your goal will be to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability through deep technical troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Red Hat OpenShift and related ecosystem components in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving:
- Logging: Elasticsearch, FluentD, Kibana
- Monitoring
- Networking: SDN/OVN, Kubernetes networking
- Storage
- Service Mesh: Istio
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) in one or more key technical domains.
- Collaborate closely with Red Hat engineers, developers, and customers.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend long-term fixes.
- Work through customer support cases, development issues, and internal escalations.
- Contribute to the Red Hat knowledge base and open source projects.
- Complete onboarding and certifications (e.g., RHCE, DO180, DO280, DO380).
✅ Qualifications
Required:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and related components.
- Strong background in Linux system administration.
- Familiarity with incident/change/problem management processes.
- Experience debugging and reading code in Python, Java, GoLang, C/C++.
- Proficiency with tools like Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jira, or Bugzilla.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to continuously learn.
Preferred:
- Red Hat certifications (RHCE, DO180, DO280, DO380)
- Experience in customer-facing support roles
- Contributions to open-source projects or community engagement
